Homelessness Prevention Support

Service Description

Intensive assistance for rough sleepers and those at risk of rough sleeping, provided by Fran Bailey in the Town Hall Lettings Team. Also short-term early intervention for hostel residents who are at risk of eviction.

Home-link advice

A housing drop-in is available every Friday 10:00-11:00 a.m, followed by Home-Link advice 11:00 a.m to midday, in the computer room.

Welfare

(Mon-Fri 8.30-10.30am)

A free hot cooked breakfast for rough sleepers; tea, coffee, toast and cereal are free to all. Shower, laundry and clothes store facilities available.  Drop-in help and advice from agencies on housing, health and other issues.

 

Learning & Development

(Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri 10.30am-3.30pm. Thur 10.30am-2pm)

Range of activities, information, advice and guidance to support personal development.  Activities include arts and crafts, visits to museums, sporting activities, catering skills, IT and job skills.

 

Social Enterprise

Employment and volunteering opportunities for homeless people, such as Food4Food catering, and community cafe (based at St Andrew’s Hall, Chesterton).
