Service Description

The aim of the service is to support council tenants:

That said, vulnerable tenants with a chaotic history will also be considered when they are able to engage with a client centred approach.

The service will also work with Metropolitan and Centra to avoid duplication and to ensure that clients are linked up with the most appropriate support service as our role is intervention and sign posting (not long term support).

Actively looking for accommodation (e.g. private rented) does not fall into their remit.

Client groups that may be referred

Referrals to the tenancy sustainment team should be for people with mental health issues.  People with literacy difficulties do not fall into their mental health remit (Centra could support these people).  Be clear in the referral as to what the mental health issues are.
