Introduction

Single homeless adults should, in the first instance, be encouraged to present themselves at Jimmy's. Once clients become a guest at Jimmy's they are prioritised for move-on accommodation available in supported housing schemes. A leaflet for customers about this is available here.

Provision

54 beds for single homeless ages 18-65, with low support needs. Two projects, a 24-bed Adult Foyer (The Springs) and a main hostel with 30 beds. Referrals to the main hostel are described here (The Springs is described in the Single Homeless Service area).

 

 

 

Referrals

Referrals via InForm, however there is no longer a need to complete an In-Form referral action. Priority is given to current Jimmy’s guests, in order of those who have been at Jimmy’s the longest.

 

Move on from Vicky's, for guests with low support needs, could be to the Move-on Houses (Please note that the houses are managed by Cyrenians since January 2018).

4 shared houses with more affordable rents. Referred clients should be in work or actively working towards employment. At Kendal Way residents are responsible for their utility bills, in the other houses this is managed by Cyrenians.

Provision

The property is a 5 bed 1st floor maisonette and Cyrenians will be earmarking it as a medium stay project for homeless women with planned move on into self- contained to follow. It will stay as a female only project as long as the demand is there.

 

Referrals

The first tranche of residents are being decanted from 151-153 Chesterton Road, which is being closed down in phases as Kings Street HS wants to sell, and it is expected that they will move in around 1st August 2015. Future moves into this project will go through the normal MAHRG process.

22 beds for single homeless with complex/high support needs, including alcohol/substance misuse. Priority is given to current Jimmy’s guests, in order of those who have been at Jimmy’s the longest.

i_black.jpgNote: A refurbishment of Willow Walk will reduce the bedspaces to 20 by April 2016. New referrals are not currently being taken (August 2015).

Jubilee Project (Offenders)

Provision

10 beds for clients with an offence within the past year. All residents are required to be engaged in work, or other meaningful activity at least three days a week.

Hope into Action

Provision

Hope into Action houses accommodate individuals who are over 18, of low/medium risk with no active alcohol/drug problems (although they have accommodated recovering addicts who are engaging with Inclusion). We have a male house and a separate  female house. The website can be found at:
