Eligibility criteria

Applicants should have "low support needs".

 

To be eligible for the Single Homelessness Service, and an applicant needs to:

 

i_black.jpgIf you are unsure as to whether an applicant is suitable for the Single Homelessness Service, please discuss with the Single Homelessness Co-Ordinator in the first instance.

Please give applicants a copy of the SHS leaflet, so they understand the service they are being referred to.

Tenancy Sustainment or Single Homeless Service?

Both the SHS and the PRS tenancy sustainment service may well result in the same outcome: a placement in the private rented sector. So how should you decide which service to refer to?

Please note that the two services work closely together and we will transfer cases from SHS to Tenancy Sustainment (and vice versa) where necessary.
